Happy Thanksgiving, folks. I'm going to enjoy this four-day weekend, but there's plenty to keep you entertained in this week's TOC, starting with our cover story on the Neo-Futurists and the 20th anniversary of Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind.
The main feature is an oral history of Too Much Light, told by Neos from Greg Allen to Spencer Kayden to Ayun Halliday to Jay Torrence. You can read it online, of course, but it's really worth picking up a hard copy this week; our art department did an amazing job of capturing the TML aesthetic in a four-page spread. I also provide a brief primer for TML newbies, and there's a web-exclusive slideshow with photos from the last two decades and audio clips of mid-’90s Too Much Light plays. Share your own Neo memories here.
Zac Thompson provides a roundup of holiday shows that might not make you poke your eyes out, and David Sedaris tells us why he hates Santaland. Not in a holiday mood? We also reviewed 14 non-holiday shows this week. We'll see you Monday.
