I have never "changed" a quote from a critic, but have certainly GLEANED the best I could from it.

Even if it got a negative, but it says "actor X was mesmerizing..", then I don't feel bad about pulling the positive out of the negative review.

It's a GREAT quote Kris - in context, and outside of it :)

Well, it sounds like they took your quote as praise - that they were going for Apocalypse Now as penned by Diablo Cody. You yourself say that you didn't like the tone - which could be construed as a matter of taste. I hear this stuff all the time at the bar - the "So what?" response from actors and directors. And down the rabbit hole we go.
